Sustainability and technical-functional harmony

Commissioned by the Emilia-Romagna Region, the ‘Tecnopolo’ project involves the construction of a building entirely dedicated to research, innovation, and technology transfer in Bologna. The centre is part of the Network of 10 Technology hubs in Emilia Romagna and will be a fundamental part of the regional innovation ecosystem. The ‘Tecnopolo di Bologna’ infrastructure will host a number of industrial research laboratories of the University of Bologna, the Department of the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute, the ENEA Bologna Research Centre, ARPA and Civil Protection, as well as other consortia and companies.

Project Details

The architectural solutions are aimed at defining a work that is fully integrated with its context on an architectural level, as well as on a technical-functional level.

The materials, solutions and building methods used also contribute to safeguarding health.
