Strategic railway infrastructures defined by Legge Obiettivo no. 443/01.
The works are part of the HS/HC ‘Terzo Valico dei Giovi’ section, which will connect the Genoa railway junction in the area of the Fegino junction with the Tortona railway station.
The section in question consists of a succession of trenches and embankments of modest height, the construction of which requires the resolution of innumerable interferences in the area, such as the road network, irrigation network and other interfering entities, including railways.
The civil works relating to the lot are located territorially in the municipalities of Novi Ligure, Pozzolo Formigaro and Tortona (province of Alessandria), between pk 36+585 and pk 52+980 b.p. of the AC Milan-Genoa – Terzo Valico dei Giovi section and are part of the open-air section.
