Renovation and adaptation of municipal building

The new building hosts a variety of activities concerning road safety education, promoted by the Milan Local Police and aimed at the city’s schools in order to raise awareness among children and citizens on fundamental road safety issues. With a view to implementing new and effective communication strategies, the project also included the organisation of a series of training courses for all Local Police officers. During the evening hours, the facility further diversifies to accommodate a range of activities for the elderly, to foster socialisation and quality of life for the elderly.

Project Details

The building was constructed using a wooden lattice structure with mineral fibre panels, internal walls and a double-pitch roof with a corrugated sheet metal covering, all completed with appropriate internal partition walls. All building components are adequately insulated in order to achieve maximum comfort and energy savings.
Separate toilet blocks, a new electrical system and all necessary finishing and completion works were also executed.
