The project concerns the adaptation and extension of the building located in Via Pitagora in Martina Franca for the allocation of district and territorial services. The new health facility will be built in Via Pitagora 16, behind the hospital, in an area owned by the Healthcare Board, previously occupied by the ‘Ex Dispersario Tubercolare’ building.
The intervention area, which runs along Via De Gasperi, is located in a fully urbanised area of the municipality of Martina Franca.
The need to build a new structure to house district services aimed at providing citizens with a new, single, committed and organised centre to take charge of the demand for healthcare, and to guarantee better levels of social services and healthcare.
The contract therefore consists of the demolition of the existing 2-storey building on the site and the construction of a new building for the allocation of district and territorial services.

– Reinforced concrete structure with pillars, beams and solid reinforced concrete slabs.
– The external envelope consists of 35 cm thick biocompatible honeycomb brick block infill, plastered on both sides, and
ventilated façade cladding in light beige coloured fibre cement slabs on a supporting metal substructure with rock wool
mattress placed in between.
– The interior with dedicated toilets, support rooms and a waiting area.
– Outpatient services with waiting rooms, offices and staff support rooms.
